Precision at Every Step
Tidewall vinyl sheet piling starts with a premium-grade PVC compound formulated specifically for marine and waterfront environments. Every step of the manufacturing process is controlled to ensure consistent wall thickness, precise geometry, and long-term structural performance.
PVC Compound Formulation
Tidewall begins with a proprietary PVC compound that includes UV stabilizers, impact modifiers, and processing aids — all selected for performance in marine environments. The compound is formulated to resist UV degradation, maintain flexibility in cold temperatures, and deliver consistent mechanical properties over decades of service.
Extrusion
The compound is processed through precision extrusion tooling designed to produce each Tidewall profile geometry. Extrusion parameters — temperature, pressure, and line speed — are continuously monitored to maintain consistent wall thickness and dimensional accuracy throughout every production run.
Cooling & Sizing
Immediately after extrusion, profiles pass through a calibrated cooling and sizing system that locks in the precise cross-sectional geometry. This step is critical for ensuring that the interlocking connections between adjacent piles fit correctly in the field — every time.
Cut-to-Length & Quality Inspection
Finished profiles are cut to standard lengths and inspected for dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and interlock fit. Tidewall’s quality standards ensure that every pile leaving the facility meets the specifications published in our technical data sheets — the same specs that engineers use to design your project.
